Bullseye caters to customer needs by using innovative technology that provides better information to help optimize your returns.

After years of experience in both the cattle and feed industry, Tom McNeely had a vision of creating a Western Canadian based company that would be focused on addressing the specific needs of cow/calf and backgrounder beef producers. He saw an opportunity to be more mobile and agile than other feed companies servicing the cattle industry, particularly for the backgrounding segments. Specifically, Tom wanted to cater to his customers needs by using innovative technology that would provide better information to help optimize his customers returns. In 2013, McNeely launched Bullseye, which focused on understanding the individual beef producer’s nutritional needs and offering customized mineral products. He paired that with a value based consultative approach and started to build the foundation for long lasting customer relationships with several beef producers across Alberta.

In 2017, Tom saw the opportunity for Bullseye to join forces with Nutrisource and have access to more resources and nutritional support that would provide a better Bullseye customer experience. This included having access to Nutrisource’s support system, where his customer’s would now get access to experienced consultants focused in forage, management, foot health, calf health and cow comfort. He also felt that Nutrisource’s passion for “Helping Farmers Feed People” directly aligned with Bullseye’s vision for driving sustainability in the cattle industry and helping to share the story on behalf of beef producers that beef is a high quality source of complete protein that helps to contribute towards a balanced and nutritious diet.

Today, Bullseye remains a local, Western Canadian based company that continues to revolutionize the feed industry for the benefit of all beef segments. Tom, along with his team members, Kelly Resler, Trevor Hamilton, Doug Roxburgh, Joe Mclean, and Brayden Schmidt, are passionate individuals that have been shaped from the roots of being born and raised in the cattle industry. All have been working on cattle operations their entire lives; they know first hand the ins and outs of keeping cow herds healthy and the importance of optimizing an operations bottom line through animal nutrition. This has allowed them to provide Bullseye customers with better products and better services. But, more importantly, they understand that Bullseye’s greatest opportunity is to continue collaborating with our customers key stakeholders to ensure we are all committed to sustainability in the beef industry. Therefore, Bullseye’s number one priority is to focus on the long-term success of each beef producer they serve.

WE ARE 100% CANADIAN OWNED AND OPERATED.

What also makes Bullseye different is the company’s size. We’re not a big conglomerate, but an independent, family-owned business. Our customers know our team members by name, and we know them. What’s more? Because of the personal, hands-on approach we bring to the cattle business, we’re able to adapt quickly to changes in the industry — and help our customers do the same.
